Chelsea Fuller

A seasoned veteran of progressive campaigns, Chelsea Fuller helps lead Blackbird’s strategic communications practice, serving as the Senior Communications Manager. She has secured award-winning coverage for the most impactful movements of our time. Her counsel is sought after by social justice leaders working on criminal justice, immigrant detention, and electoral justice. Her work with the MeToo movement and the Movement for Black Lives has led to fundamental shifts in policy and practices nationwide. Prior to joining Blackbird, Chelsea led the Youth Criminalization program at Advancement Project, where she worked to deconstruct harmful media narratives around youth of color, primarily those involving state-sanctioned killings of Black youth and the school-to-prison pipeline. As a mentor and trainer, she holds leadership roles in the Reframe Mentorship, the National Association of Black Journalists, and the Radical Communicators Network.
